We care for the environment like she is a friend. We use minimal, eco-friendly, compostable and recyclable packaging, as much as we can. As a way to further reduce our waste, I have used scrap fabric to sew small pouches to contain our jewelry. The Indian artisans who created the handwoven fabric deserve for us to use every single piece that we can! The scrap fabric bags are great for either storing your jewelry or gifting them to someone that you care for.
Each piece is crafted by artisans, some by hand and some with the help of machines. Purchasing products that are made by artisans helps keep their crafts alive. You're supporting artisans and their communities with every purchase you make. Meet Sima, who is one of our artisans. Her and her husband Vishnu work together to create some of the most intricate and detailed pieces, using simple tools and techniques like cutting, molding, wiring and twisting of the brass and copper into different shapes. It's incredible to see them work.
As a foreigner married to an Indian, I have fallen in love with all the beautiful creations made here in India. As an artist myself, I will continue to support the livelihoods of the artisans to ensure that their craft, handiwork or creations can continue to be enjoyed by generations to come.
